It appears as the Lincoln is coming up to support more and more family and grand touring. After Explorer, here is new 2020 Lincoln Aviator. The new model also debuts a number of new technologies for the Lincoln brand, helping the Aviator not only stand out from its Navigator sibling, but shine bright in a growing crop of luxury SUV. It is another 3-row SUV, which is little shorter than Ford Explorer but with more luxurious.
This time around, the 2020 Aviator sports a distinctive design both inside and out, impressive standard equipment and features unique to Lincoln. In fact, the new Aviator is more like a scaled-down Navigator than a rebadged Explorer.
2020 Lincoln Aviator
As ever, and as a trade mark, 2020 Aviator has a rich interior and improved cabin noise management make it an excellent highway cruiser. At least Lincoln made Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard, along with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. On the other hand, the regular equipment on the Reserve trim includes four-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera system, and a 14-speaker sound system. Rear-wheel drive is standard; all-wheel drive is available for an extra $2510.
For the power, Lincoln used V6 turbo and the 10-speed, as well as the regular car’s AWD setup, but adds to it an electric motor. Well, this engine allows 494 horsepower and a ridiculous 630 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, there is 13.6 kWh lithium-ion battery, but even with an 18 gallon tank rather than 20.2 gallon. Even then the expectation is that you’ll still get more than 400 miles of total range. There’s even a plug-in hybrid model that makes more power and improves fuel economy while providing a bit of EV range.
Besides that, the battery allows the plug-in Aviator to cover about 18 miles in the Pure EV driving mode without using the gas engine, but the 100-hp motor is slow to accelerate the Aviator’s heft without help from the engine. Other than this, The 2020 Lincoln Aviator is available in five trim levels: Standard, Reserve, Black Label, Grand Touring, and Grand Touring Black Label.
